When H&M first launched their beauty range some time ago, I was sceptical could any clothing store release a makeup collection that rivalled Topshop’s cult status? But when I visited the Brighton store earlier this year I fell in love. After some time swatching every single product on offer I left with a bag full off bits, a stripy hand and a very bored boyfriend! Since then I have really tested every product that I purchased out and can honestly say that the collection get’s a thumbs up from me! But for me there was a stand-out product, one that I have heard very little about and that is the cream lipstick in the shade ‘in a nutshell’.
Let me start by telling you about the colour, this is that much lusted-over, oh so cool browny nude that everyone is loving right now. For me it is the perfect amount of brown to not be a pink-nude but not so brown that it gives a grunge look! – Do you know what I mean? There is absolutely no shimmer or glitter particles running through the bullet and the colour is extremely pigmented once applied.
As for the formula, I would say it is most comparable to a MAC Cremesheen, but a tad less glossy once applied. This makes a great change to all of my matte lipsticks as it gives the lips a touch of hydration while keeping the colour pigments of a matte lipstick. It applies evenly to the lips without bleeding or fading and lasts a really long time. So if you’re on a budget and are looking for a new lipstick I totally recommend picking up this beautifully packaged gem, which costs just £7.99!!
